In early 2022, Beauregard Health System (BHS) embarked on a strategic planning process that would breathe new life into its vision for the future. Leaders and board members gathered together to ask three questions:

• "What do we do well?"
• "What does our community need?"
• "What should we invest our resources in?"

Throughout this process, BHS sought to answer these questions from the perspective of key stakeholders—the patients, staff and community that we serve. The consensus among leaders, staff and focus groups was that our mission had evolved and that our health system had a major opportunity to elevate its role in the community, strengthen its workforce and explore new territory.

The resulting three-year strategic plan seeks to balance the needs of our patients, staff and community across the social, work and organizational experiences that are meaningful to them. During the strategic period from fiscal year 2023 to 2025, BHS will build on its unique position as an independent organization to advance rural health care, invest in its workforce and improve the quality of life of those it serves.

Our vision for the future highlights collaboration across all departments and levels of leadership to ensure that meaningful and lasting progress is made in critical areas.

As southwestern Louisiana continues to emerge from a post-disaster, post-pandemic landscape, it is critical that BHS reassess its environment and reaffirm its mission.

The overarching goals of this strategic period are to evolve our Mission, Vision and Values; to expand patient access across primary and secondary service areas; and to ensure a legacy of excellence.

Strategic Plan Snapshot: Year 1

During the past two years, Beauregard Health System has seen significant growth and progress in key areas and has directed its focus toward providing excellence in all aspects of its service. Our organization's passion and resiliency have never been more palpable. So it is with a newly defined strategic plan that BHS dedicates itself to an extraordinary future. We are passionate about our people, our organization and our success—and we are honored to serve our community.
