Cardiopulmonary is defined as relating to or affecting the heart and lungs and their functions.
The Cardiopulmonary Services Department provides both therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, which are available on an inpatient and outpatient basis. The department is staffed 24 hours a day with therapists who can assist the patient's physician with respiratory therapies and procedures.
Outpatient procedures performed by the department include but are not limited to:
- Pulmonary function testing.
- Electrocardiogram.
- Electroencephalogram.
- Echocardiogram.
- Sleep diagnostics.
- Cardiac stress testing.
