We are all acutely aware of the challenges our community has faced over the past three years. Despite these challenges, we continue to invest in our workforce, facilities and programs. I'm proud to share an overview of some of our more noteworthy accomplishments that directly impact our community. We:

• Engaged in Accountable Care, focusing on coordination of services and reaching specific quality benchmarks.
• Evolved Chronic Care Management, a program that helps patients with specific chronic diseases.
• Renovated existing space to open a new, state-of-the-art Infusion Center.
• Launched a comprehensive cardiovascular service line.
• Expanded capacity in our Wound Healing Center with the addition of new providers.
• Recruited a general surgeon, a podiatrist and an OB-GYN, who is a DeRidder native.
• Recruited three new Advanced Practice providers.
• Expanded Occupational Medicine into Vernon Parish.
• Improved access to care by establishing two new clinics in Vernon Parish.
• Hosted four medical students for yearlong clinical rotations.

In addition to these remarkable accomplishments, our commitment to patient safety and quality is validated by our five-star Hospital Compare designation for the second straight year. Beauregard Health System is one of only six hospitals in the state to achieve five-star status, which is Hospital Compare's highest level of distinction.

As we roll into another year, we accept that our new normal is fraught with staffing shortages, supply chain disruptions, increased costs and inflation. We also realize that the old cliché "What got you here won't keep you here" is more relevant than ever.

In that spirit, we are forging ahead with a renewed strategic plan, mission, vision and values. In 2023, we expect to break ground on a state-of-the-art Emergency Department, and we will trigger a third-floor renovation to create a comprehensive Women's Health Center. We are laser-focused on continuously improving and strengthening health care in our community for you and your loved ones.
