Beauregard Health System Wound Healing Center
Beauregard Health System and The Wound Treatment Center Consulting collaborated to expand our wound care center, which offers state-of-the-art, advanced wound care and access to other wound care services.
The Beauregard Health System Wound Healing Center is operated by Tracy Winkley, PT, CWS, CLT, FACCWS, DAPWCA, of Beauregard Health System, with Kerry Thibodeaux, MD, FACS, CWCP, FAPWCA, serving as medical director. "Wounds can often be slow to heal and have a major impact on one's quality of life. Wounds can be caused by poor circulation, diabetes, trauma, insect bites, cuts or burns. Fortunately, with the correct interventions and care, most wounds can be effectively treated and the healing time shortened," says Winkley.
The Healing Center offers advanced wound care therapies to patients with acute and chronic wounds of all types and is the first in the region to offer several types of advanced skin tissue grafting. The Center also offers negative pressure therapy and total contact casting, as well as access to hyperbaric oxygen therapy through our partnership with The Wound Treatment Center.
Meditech Expanse Goes Live
After a series of unprecedented roadblocks in 2020, Beauregard Health System successfully went live, as scheduled, in early 2021 with Expanse, Meditech's interoperable web-based electronic health record (EHR). Expanse provides a single EHR that seamlessly connects patient records across all care facilities, giving clinicians a complete view of a patient's health care journey.
'Nurses Week' Proclaimed in the City of DeRidder
As we celebrated National Nurses Week in 2021, we reflected on the challenges and sacrifices our nurses and clinical team have experienced over the past couple of years. We honor their selflessness and dedication to the well-being of our community and the health of our future.
