Traci Thibodeaux Appointed to American Hospital Association Regional Policy Board 7

DeRidder, LA — Beauregard Health System is proud to announce that Traci Thibodeaux, Chief Executive Officer of Beauregard Health System, has been appointed by the Board of Trustees of the American Hospital Association (AHA) to serve as a State Delegate to Regional Policy Board 7, with a two-year term beginning January 1, 2026.

Regional Policy Boards play a critical role within the AHA, providing recommendations and in-depth analysis that directly inform the AHA Board of Trustees during national policy deliberations. Through this appointment, Thibodeaux will help shape healthcare policy priorities affecting hospitals and health systems across the region and the nation.

“It is truly an honor to be appointed and to have the opportunity to serve on Regional Policy Board 7,” said Thibodeaux. “My focus will be on keeping rural healthcare at the forefront of policy considerations, as those discussions can too often be overlooked. We must continue to advocate to preserve access to healthcare for our rural community.”

As CEO of Beauregard Health System, Thibodeaux brings extensive experience leading a rural, not-for-profit health system through complex financial, workforce, and regulatory challenges. Her appointment reflects both her leadership and her strong advocacy for rural communities and the patients they serve.
