BEAUREGARD HEALTH SYSTEM FOUNDATION RECEIVES A GENEROUS DONATION FROM BEAUREGARD HEALTH SYSTEM EMPLOYEES

Beauregard Health System is pleased to announce that The Carter Club, The Foundation’s employee giving club, recently made an extremely generous contribution of $250,000.00 to Beauregard Health System Foundation’s Here for Life Capital Campaign. The Carter Club’s spirit of giving shows the tremendous support of the health systems employees for this expansion and the continual improvement of quality healthcare in our community.
At present, the Beauregard Health System Foundation is focusing its efforts on the construction of a multi-million dollar, brand new, state-of-the-art Emergency Department and ultra-modern Women’s Center. The new Emergency Department, which will be located north of the existing facility and contiguous to the existing hospital, will boast an improved design focused on workflow, safety and patient experience. This project will double the size of treatment rooms, offer contemporary designs for nursing stations, offer separate entry points for infectious diseases and a separate area for mental health patients, all enhancing quality, safety and the patient experience, right here in Beauregard Parish. The innovative women’s center will provide a diverse range of services tailored specifically to meet the distinctive health care needs of women, including gynecological care, breast health services, menopause management and prenatal and postnatal care.
Beauregard Health System’s current emergency facility was built to accommodate approximately 13,000 to 14,000 patients a year. The Health System is currently serving over 20,000 patients a year. The facility’s new design accounts for current capacity and considers growth capacity and needs projected well into the future.
This gift, and others like it – no matter how big or small, will be transformed into providing tangible healthcare benefits for our entire community for years to come.
