Visitor Information


Visiting Hours:

Patient visiting hours are from 9:00am until 9:00pm. Visits in the Special Care unit are restricted to fifteen minutes at 10:00am, 12:30pm, 4:00pm and 8:00pm by the immediate family and clergy only. Please restrict visits in the Maternity Unit to immediate family and adults. Children should never be left without adult supervision in the hospital.

Smoking Policy:

In order to comply with JCAHO guidelines, Beauregard Memorial Hospital does not allow patients to smoke in their rooms. For the convenience of patients and their families, we have provided a smoking area on the north side of the hospital.

Volunteer Services:

The Hospital Auxiliary is s service organization dedicated to helping the hospital reach its' goal of providing "quality healthcare...close to home." Service provided by the Auxiliary includes delivery of mail and flowers each weekday, providing a juice cart, newspaper delivery each morning and providing reading selections in the different waiting areas of the hospital. The gift ship, located on the first floor, is operated by the Auxiliary Monday-Friday from 9:00am-4:00pm. A wide range of gifts, flowers, and personal care items are available. The gift shop is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Television:

Each patient's room has a television with cable programming provided at no extra charge. Television controls are located next to the call light button. A complete listing of the channel directory is in your patient handbook. If you need help, please contact your nurse.

Spiritual Care:

The Spiritual care of patients plays an important role in the hospital's goal-your total comfort and health. A Chapel is located on the second floor and may be used any time for meditation by you or your family and friends. Clergymen of all denominations are welcome to visit members of their own congregations.

Discharge Planning and Social Services:

When you are admitted to the hospital, the discharge planning team begins coordinating your discharge care. Social service assistance that may be provided includes arranging transportation home, securing medical equipment, helping with long-term care, including nursing home placement, and referral to other agencies. The hospital operates an accredited home health agency. If you are interested in any of these services, please contact your nurse.
