Williams Named VP of Clinical Support Services and Quality
Kandace Williams, MT (ASCP), has accepted the position of Vice President of Clinical Support Services and Quality at Beauregard Health System in DeRidder, Louisiana.
Williams has held various leadership roles at Beauregard Health System, since returning in 2018. Most recently, she served as the Director of Clinical Support Services, responsible for overseeing the operations of the Laboratory and Radiology Departments. Prior to Williams’ position at Beauregard Health System, she served as the Laboratory Director at Doctors Hospital at Deer Creek in Leesville, Louisiana from 2015 to 2018 and the Laboratory Director at Sabine Medical Center in Many, Louisiana from 2014 to 2015. With 25 years of clinical laboratory experience, Williams worked as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at Beauregard Memorial Hospital from 1996 to 2005 and Sabine Medical Center from 2005 to 2015, responsible for performing laboratory procedures, analyzing specimens, maintaining regulatory compliance, and interpreting results to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. She also assisted local area physician office laboratories as a Technical Consultant for the past 13 years. “With Williams’ clinical expertise, interpersonal skills and operational insights, this new role will allow her to inspire innovation and positively shape the overall patient experience at a greater scale for our organization,” said Traci Thibodeaux, MHA, CMPE, Chief Executive Officer.
Williams, a native of Ruston, Louisiana, holds a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science from Louisiana Tech University and is certified with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. “I am honored to have this opportunity and look forward to focusing on quality measures and clinical excellence to ensure that Beauregard Health System is the premier healthcare facility for our community and surrounding areas,” said Kandace Williams, MT (ASCP).
