Edwin Bonilla, MD Receives Awards From LAFP and AMA
Edwin R. Bonilla, MD, of the Family Health Clinic, recently received recognition of 30 years of membership from the Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians (LAFP) and the Physician’s Recognition Award in Continuing Medical Education from the American Medical Association (AMA). The LAFP represents 1,600 physicians and student members statewide. It is the only medical society devoted solely to primary care. The AMA Physician’s Recognition Award recognizes a physician’s personal commitment to career-long continuing professional development. This commitment sustains the professional community of physicians by affirming continuing medical education (CME) as a basic responsibility for all physicians.
