BHS Welcomes Mary Cobb, DPM

Tell us a little bit about you and your family:
I am married with two children; Lorne, a 21-year-old college junior economics major, and Nina, a 17-year-old volleyball middle blocker. Both play horns but won't give me a private concert. I graduated from Tulane Psychology and taught for 12 years before pursuing Podiatry.
What can patients expect when they first meet with you?
My primary goal with each patient is to help them stay mobile. I hope they know that working feet are good feet and that they can come in many shapes and varied appearances. There are restorative treatments and surgical remedies to help you achieve your goals. I err on the side of conservative treatments to maintain form and function, but surgery can be a beneficial and definitive treatment.
What drew you to Beauregard Health System?
The first communication by phone had such great ease I prayed for progression. The site visit showed a solid devotion to community care and great collegiality amongst the staff. I had a compelling feeling that I could be giving rather than guarded, which facilitates providing the best care to every patient.
