Beauregard Memorial Hospital and Beauregard Physician Group are pleased to welcome Arnette Scavella, M.D., Pediatrician. Dr. Scavella is practicing at the Beauregard Family Medical Center at 501 South Pine Street in DeRidder and is currently accepting patients. Call 337.463.9890 to make an appointment. Dr. Scavella is coming to DeRidder from Tulane University, where she has completed a Pediatric Residency Clinical Fellowship, and has served in a number of Clinical Supervisory roles since 2010. In 2007, Dr Scavella completed a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at LSU Health Sciences. She completed her pediatric residency in 2004, at Children’s Hospital of New Jersey, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Dr. Scavella has made numerous presentations regarding Sickle Cell disease and has researched and published on the same topics. She is internationally educated with degrees from Nova Scotia to Nassau in the Bahamas. She has provided volunteer physician and educational services from Leesville at the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Camp to Plaquemine and New Orleans via Health and Wellness fairs and Sports Camps for Pediatric Hematology/Oncology patients.
