Beauregard Health System Welcomes Marla Kelly, MD, FACOG.
Beauregard Health System is proud to welcome DeRidder native, Marla Kelly, MD, FACOG, OB-GYN, to the Beauregard Physician Group.
Dr. Kelly attended Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry in 1999. She then studied at Louisiana State University to earn her Doctor of Medicine degree, the University of Alabama Birmingham to earn a Master of Public Health Degree focused in Maternal and Child Health Leadership and Policy, and Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., where Kelly completed her residency. Dr. Kelly served as a Clinical Instructor at the Eastern Virginia Medical School of Medicine in Norfolk, VA, and taught as an Assistant Professor of Clinical OB-GYN at Penn State University, where she was awarded University School of Medicine Affiliate Site Teacher of the Year. Kelly also taught at Medstar Georgetown as an Assistant Professor of OB-GYN.
Dr. Kelly is a Board Certified Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is also a member of the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics, the Arlington County Medical Society, the Medical Society of Virginia and several more organizations.
“I am delighted to return to my home town to practice medicine and give back to the community that has given so much to me,” commented Kelly. “I look forward to being a part of the amazing plans that Beauregard Health System has for women and new mothers with a one-stop shop, contemporary Women’s Center that will offer Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Post-Partum suites on the third floor of the hospital.”
