Beauregard Health System Welcomes Heather Thomas, Athletic Trainer
Beauregard Health System is pleased to welcome Heather Thomas, Athletic Trainer, to its rehabilitation team. Thomas will provide athletic training services including injury care, prevention and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for student athletes at DeRidder High School and Rosepine High School, as a courtesy of Beauregard Health System. Thomas will also take a lead role with Riddell’s InSite Training Tool, the leading impact monitoring system in football, which was donated to both programs by Beauregard Health System and Lake Charles Memorial Health System’s Foundation. Riddell’s InSite Training Tool is a smart football helmet platform that alerts trainers and coaches on the sideline with information on significant single and multiple impacts sustained in a practice or game.
Thomas is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She most recently served as the lead athletic trainer for a 6A high school in Mississippi covering all home varsity events.
