Beauregard Health System Hosts First Annual Christmas Tree Decorating Contest

Community news | Wednesday, December 19, 2018

Beauregard Health System partnered with area schools to host the First Annual Beauregard Health System Christmas tree decorating contest. The health system provided the trees and assigned a theme. Participating schools had the option to decorate the trees on-site or at their school. “We wanted to partner with local schools to create a ‘parade of trees’ the community could enjoy,” said Kelli C. Broocks, VP of Corporate Development at Beauregard Health System. “We plan for this to be an annual event and grow each year.” The theme for the first annual BHS Christmas tree decorating contest was The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. Participating schools included DeRidder High School, DeRidder Junior High School, East Beauregard High School and Rosepine High School. “Each school did an excellent job decorating,” said Broocks. The winning school will receive a generous donation for the art department or organization/club that participated in the contest. Beauregard Health System invites the community to enjoy the creativity of the trees which are displayed on the corner of Pine Street and Fifth Street.
