There are three types of charges for your hospital care: Room and Care Charges: This is a daily charge for services such as 24-hour nursing care, meals, housekeeping, laundry, building maintenance, admitting and business office, and other hospital support services. Itemized Charges: Medications, medical supplies, oxygen, and monitoring devices are itemized charges on your bill. Diagnostic examinations and treatments ordered by your physician such as laboratory, x-ray, physical therapy, respiratory therapy and surgery are also included. An itemized copy of your bill is available on request. Emergency Room Charges: Charges for emergency care will be incurred if you were treated in the Emergency Department prior to admission. Note: Your hospital bill does not include your attending physician's or consulting physician's professional fee. Nor does it reflect the charges for the services provided by the Radiologist or Pathologist. |
