Anyone can receive up to $5,000 by giving us information about any medical student, resident, or practicing physician who might be interested in practicing in the DeRidder area now or in the future. Beauregard Memorial Hospital is sponsoring a special program call “DOC SEARCH 5000” that will benefit the community and you personally. What is Doc Search 5000? Doc Search 5000 is a program designed to enhance our quality of life and stimulate our economy through an extensive physician recruitment program. Although Beauregard Memorial Hospital has an experienced and qualified medical staff, the hospital is constantly anticipating the future needs of the community. As the hospital and the community continue to grow, more physicians will be needed. This means that we would like to talk with anyone in medical school, in a residency program or in private practice. This is not a short term project. The hospital is offering scholarships and incentive packages, including help in starting up a practice and offering income guarantee loans to medical students, residents, and practicing physicians. Why are additional doctors needed? Beauregard Memorial Hospital is continually monitoring the needs of the community through surveys, imput from local physicians, and monitoring of trends. Based on input from the community, local business and industry, and the medical staff, the local medical community has a good reputation. However, research and planning for now and the future indicates the need for additional doctors. Beauregard Memorial Hospital forsees the positive effects of additional physicians to the DeRidder area. An expanded medical staff means that people who would otherwise have to leave the community for healthcare will be able to receive that care here in DeRidder. Every time someone can seek care here, our quality of life is enhanced and our economy is stimulated. What do I have to do? The guidelines are simple. Participants are required to submit names and other pertinent profile information about any medical students, residents or practicing physicians by Submitting a form ONLINE, or by downloading the form, and mailing to: Beauregard Memorial Hospital Attention: Physician Recruitment/Kelli Broocks Post Office Box 730 DeRidder, Louisiana 70634 After the candidate has been contacted, and the candidiate qualifies and agrees to practice in DeRidder, the participant who first submitted the name will be given $2,500. The second $2,500 will be awarded to the participant if the candidate practices in the area for one (1) year. |
